The documentary ‘Music without borders’ summarizes main events within the first edition of Rock’n Pop the Borders Young Music Makers Award Competition that was arranged and held within the same named project, co-financed by the EU through the IPA Cross-Border Programme Bulgaria-FYRoM

According to the Rock’n Pop the Borders Competition Participation Rules, the first award was professional video clip making. The adjudicators in Young Music Makers Award Concert, held on 9 August 2014 in Dupnitsa, where 10 the best by audience and adjudicators judgment songs took participation, gave the award to Slippin’ song of Plovdiv rock band ‘Paranormal’ :
Second place award in the first Rock’n Pop the Borders competition was given to After Midnight, a Plovdiv rock band, for their song ‘Loosing Control’, which were awarded with professional single record.
Macedonian band Problem solved got the third award in the competition about their song ‘Losha navika/Bad habit‘ – wireless microphone by our media partners – Zapad TV/CSW.
The promoters succeed to got cooperation by local authorities and influential non-profit associations, which were able to fosters their favorites among the competitors on the Rock’n Pop the Borders stage. The Mayor of Dupnitsa Municipality liked and awarded Kumanovo rock band TV Rage and their song ‘In between the time’ with a set for rock instruments.
Love Lies Bleeding (Amaranth) song of As Orchids Wither rock band gained the Rotary Club – Dupnitsa. The Club members awarded 150 BGN to the band, impressed by their energy and performance.
A memorable chance for the music makers in Chainsaw Babies, TV Rage and Визия bands, performed at Rock’n Pop the Borders stage, was the IPA CBC Programme JTS invitation for performing at festal gigs ‘Sharing borders, growing together‘ in occasion of European Cooperation Day, held on 17 September 2014 in Blagoevgrad and 18 September 2014 in Shtip.
An event, extremely important for the Rock’n Pop the Borders promoters, was its first edition winners and participants awareness concert in Kumanovo, Macedonia. The event purpose was to foster and promote the RnPB initiative in the partner country and – as you can see – it succeed!
